Caring for a Suede Jacket

Suede requires more deliberate care than smooth leather, primarily because of its sensitivity to moisture.

The most important step is preventive: a suede protector spray, applied before the jacket's first wear, builds a water-resistant barrier that meaningfully reduces the risk of staining from light rain or incidental splashes. It should be reapplied periodically, particularly before wearing the jacket through a wetter season.
